Pursuing Passion
Dr. Terri Ambrose grew up in Brooklyn, New York. From her early high school years, she knew she wanted a career in dentistry. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Howard University College of Dentistry where she discovered her love for pediatric dentistry and working with children with special needs. Following that passion, she completed a pediatric residency program at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, allowing her to become a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.
Creating Happiness
As a child, Dr. Ambrose loved going to the dentist. This experience inspired her not only to pursue pediatric dentistry, but to create an environment where her patients love their dental visits and feel as special as she did. She hand-picked Columbia because of its family-focused community. She loves serving this community where she gets to watch her patients grow.
COMMUNITY ORIENTED
Dr. Terri hand-picked Columbia because it is a family-focused community. She loves serving this area! You may find Dr. Terri at a local school or health fair dressed as a tooth fairy! She believes in giving back and helping others achieve their goals. Dr. Terri has the pleasure of working with the Bright Minds Foundation here in Howard County to establish the Terrific Smiles Scholarship, which helps a graduating senior at Oakland Mills High School further their higher educational goals.
At Home
When she isn’t seeing patients, Dr. Ambrose loves spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about exploring the world and has a goal to visit every continent. She also enjoys taking cooking classes, improving her novice yogi skills, and learning to pilot a boat.
